Hopefully the last for now!

(Continued from Previous)
BY MID-September when Lee was getting ready to start @ NES (NorthEastern Services) I got a bit of inspiration. I hadn't gotten hired on for the year @ the school district but felt that I should call to see if there were any other positions available & was told there were.
Let me tell you how the next 7 days went:
FIRST, ON Thu. I picked up the application & turned it in on Friday. On Mon. Lee got his licence. On Tue. I was called in for an interview in the morning, told in the afternoon that I had the job as an ESL Aide @ an Elementary down the street, & started the job the next morning.
IN THE meantime, Lee had his interview Wed. morning & started training w/ me on Wed. night w/ his first shift on Fri. morning!
NOW I'M working the 2 jobs @ +50 hrs/wk & Lee just picked up another shift for a total of 32/wk & we still don't have any money! lol. Being able to take care of our needs ourselves makes it worthwhile, & once things settle down after Christmas we hope things will get better.

More Catch-Up!

(Continued from Previous)
ONCE Lee got things under control with the bloodclot, he got the "go-ahead" to start looking for work part-time. However, most of the jobs that were coming available were full-time or too strenuous for him in his condition. He did try a few but just couldn't do them.
STILL, my hours increased & I got a 3-week second job in June @ one of the local Elementary Schools. Between these & other forms of assistance we were getting by; & just being in Utah again made things easier to bear.
ONE DAY in August Lee asked me if I thought he could do the job that I do working w/ People w/ Disabilities. Neither of us had thought of it for Lee, but he wasn't getting anything else so decided to give it a try. Lee has such a kind, funny, easy-going personality that he just might do well.
LEE HAD to get his Utah licence 1st before they could hire him & there were several roadblocks we had to get past first. By the time we were ready it was mid-September.

Catch-Up Time!

HEY THERE! I know it's been a long time, but I discovered that I can write the blog using the PS3! So bear w/ me for a bit while I play a little "Catch-Up"!
LEE & I moved in May as planned, but Lee ended up w/ a bloodclot, which wasn't planned. It took all the money we had to live w/ & took me a couple of weeks to start working so times were tough. I'm just so grateful that money is all that was taken. With the death of Uncle Darrell just 16 days later, I was reminded just how lucky we were & are.
AT THIS time I want to put out a thank you to all those who helped us through the last few months. First to my dad for insisting that he felt Lee had a bloodclot. You're my "Angel", Dad. Also to my In-laws for helping with the money for the test that told us Lee had the clot; and for checking up on us so much, which meant so much to us & made things easier. To my brother, Scott, for your advice. Also to my sister-in-law, Shirley Anne, who came & sat with us at the hospital. Finally to everyone who prayed for us.
